Aviary Netting or what Should I use ?

If you use Phantom's netting I don't see any need to double it up with anything else. No bird of prey will get through that. If you add wire to stop other predators from climbing up there and chewing through it, the wire will stop birds of prey if you cover it all. I'm a little confused when you talk about doubling it up.

In a 30 x 30 you will need a support as it will sag.
Only something with big teeth will get through it. I use this netting for my cranes and it keeps them in fine.

I used 2" extra heavy duty knotted netting from Pinnon Hatch Farms. https://www.pinnonhatch.com/Poultry-Netting-Heavy-Nets
He sells it in smaller dimensions on eBay.
I went with 2" because where I was living we got the occasional heavy snowfall. Now I've moved somewhere where snow is rare but 2" is still good for not building up leaves and sticks.
I use airline cable and 2x2 posts to hold the netting up since my run is not framed (it is welded wire dog kennel panels).

ETA I see that it is the same as the netting The Phantom posted.
Thanks for your reply. I have never seen 2 x 2 wood post. Are they wood or metal? The entire perimeter of my fence has 4 x 4 wood post 8 feet apart and 6 feet high with hardware cloth and welded wire all around it. But @Ridgerunner mentioned the net is strong enough and no flying predator could get through, I will try that. How high do center post have to be if my perimeter post are 6 feet high?

I use 1" chicken wire on the tops of my pens. It's 6' wide so I have to have support beams every 6' to staple the wire to...you could use hog rings to connect the wire but then you have to buy hog ring pliers and hog rings, extra costs.
I've used netting before and have had predators get in by tearing the netting. Pheasants don't go to roost in a coop like chickens, so wire is best for me. If you only have to worry about hawks in daytime, netting will probably suit your needs adequately.

You can also use baling wire, electric fence wire or any other small guage solid wire to "sew" the 6' pieces together. Just cut the 6 footers to the overall needed length, then lay them side by side with no overlap. Weave the aluminum wire between the 2 pieces, and leave about a foot of wire on each end. Once the sewn together panels are in place you can tighten up and tie off the ends. It winds up looking like one 12' or 18' piece from the factory. And its as strong if not stonger than factory seams.

Do you have a pic of how it is set up? I want to get rid of some of the sag in mine. Thanks.

I use the same netting as Phantom and SunHwaKwon, in 2" size to deal with some snowfall. My set up is quite different so no center support post, rather I use cross bars on one side for support, and on the other the coop actually serves as the central support.
