There is a real and established standard, its just that no one in the US will accept it because they imported a poor specimen of the breed named Ayam Cemani
So...
If you want to call your birds by that name they probably should adhere to the standards for that breed.
The sad news is that no one seems to have an Ayam Cemani in the US.
They do have Ayam Kedu, other similar breeds and Svart Hona mixes.

this is one of the birds used by the chinese to make chicken soup which us medicinal. they have herbs in chinese specialty shops in LA the one they use to make black chicken soup. the black chicken has medicinal properties and the herbs unlock it when cooking.

sometimes silkie is being used in the soup.


standard color for ayam cemani is black. black face, black combs, black wattle, black eyes, black feathers and black feet just like the dark knight..lol
