After we separated the two breeds of chicks the Beifehelder chicks stopped pecking at the others.

This morning started off sad.
A few days ago I saw one of my EE hens limping, but it takes two people to examine her. So this morning my husband held her while I examined her feet and it looks like she has bumblefoot on both feet.

Also one of our new Lavender Ameracauna pullets has crossbeak. I am very sad about this. I hope she will live, it doesn't look too severe but we will see she is only 6 days old. I will post photos after I contact the hatchery.

Cackle hatchery said they would refund me for the cross beak pullet and the 10 short hatch Jungle Fowl. Hopefully that will hit my bank account soon.

I am extremely happy with cackle hatchery and their customer service.

I will also be documenting the crossbeak pullet in this thread.

Oh poor little dear. They can live healthy lives if a bit more attention is paid to them. Wet/dampened mash is perfect for them to eat.
