It rained so hard yesterday... and then last night dipped below freezing and we woke up to a couple inches of new snow.

I am SO glad I work from home, and don't have to go out on the roads today. Please keep hubby in your thoughts as he is going to be all over the Peninsula today.

Still getting infertile eggs... would really like to try to figure out what they're missing....*sigh*

Is anyone selling good quality silver gray dorking hatching eggs. Plus, do the parents have red earlobes? I would really like to start breeding this type and breed. Need some eggs please

I candled my first two settings of Dorkings and have about 50 fertile Red eggs right now! Next Sunday I get the first 18 fertile eggs!

Wow... that truly stinks! How many days are you waiting before tossing them? I usually hold out way too long, but I had Orp eggs fool me -- almost tossed them, but they just took longer to look like they were developing.

How may dorking hens do you have? Have you considered putting one with another breed of rooster as a fertility test?
