BaaKaaawk's Spring 2020 Coop Build Thread :)

Pics
You keep me on my toes! Haha. Yep, will paint that today. Since I had to rip all the battons as well, I need to paint the sides of those.

I need to start posting low-res pictures hahahahahaha. ;)
Haha! Sorry, was trained and worked to look for that stuff for a couple decades.

Here's today's update- got the front on! I think this officially puts me on Day 10.

Need to figure out what to do above the front door there... big open space. Maybe a coop sign. Was also thinking of doing a little sign that said all the inhabitants and their names and possibly year added. Nothing elaborate, but I could kind of use a stencil and use a color that was close to their color. Would add an interesting element.

That would be very cute. Or just a welcome sign, or painted artwork of a chicken.

Really looking forward to the end product!

I would make an awesome chicken coop name sign.. Kind of like a cafe sign. That coop is stunning!

Maybe another window?
Windows look glazed, do they open?

These are windows I reclaimed from an old house. I am leaving them stationary. They are 75% for looks of course, but I actually use them to do flock checks at night when I close up the coop as well (I have one on my other coop) and they don't seem to bother the birds at all. I was going to put one in the back but decided against it. Reconsidering.

You're going to have some(lots) operable windows for summer ventilation.
Hot in NC!
