got chicks from greenfire on Monday, I live near them, I picked up at their local post office so no shipping. Olandsk dwarves. Yesterday I noticed one standing a little more upright than the rest. Then I saw it on its back all contorted, went to pick it up and it popped up and scurried away. cleaned it for pasty butt and noticed its vent was a little weird, maybe malformed.

so I guess im hoping for malformation and not marek's. would marek's present this early? I have never seen a chick look like the exorcism of Emily rose before. and not of course when I tried to video its acting just fine.

What does he eat? He could have a vitamin B12 deficiency. Has he been acting normal otherwise? I believe Marek's starts to show at around 3-4 weeks.

they are on tucker milling non gmo starter/grower and vitamin boosted water.

it very well could be a vitamin thing. they are less than a week old so it would have been an immediate deficiency.

Here are a couple of supplements you can give to get everything balanced out. I think you can find the rooster booster at your local farm store. Glad that he's still doing okay!

I got me a tub of rooster booster a while back when I found crooked toes on a pullet. I only use it on chicks for about 6 weeks so that tub will last a while.

the chick did pass yesterday. to me it looked like a congenital problem. it was sad but these things do happen. all its siblings are doing well.
