This morning I found a chick stuck to the mother hen at the back by her feathers. The chicks wing was twisted up in a couple of the mother hens feathers and stuck by a tiny bit of poop. I got her off then had to untangle the hen feathers. They were twisted so tight on the wing. The poor chick is super swollen and the wing is now hanging. She is getting around just fine etc pic attached. Should I gently try to wrap the wing after some of the swelling drops or just leave it be?

That's a hard call. Whether to leave or try wrapping.

Wrapping may be ok, but then will the hen continue to care for the chick - Mama Hens can be funny sometimes. Wrapping may inhibit the chick's activity as well. Does your Mama Hen roam with them or are they confined?

For me, I'm more inclined to see how a chick is in 24hours or so to if the swelling goes down and the wing goes back to it's normal position.

Ok thank you. They are with mama hen in a smaller enclosure for separation at night and roam with her during the day but separate from the other chooks.
