So I've had my 3 new babies for a little less than a week. They were hatched a week ago today. I am soooo enjoying watching them play and figure out things in their little brooder. They are all currently working out how to use the little tree branch in there. It's pretty much just on the floor and they hop on and off of it. It's so hard to come to work when I want to stay at home and watch them. I'll try to post new week old pictures soon.
Now I have a new worry with them. Was going to build a chicken tractor and now am wondering if a stationary coop would be best for security. We hadn't seen any predators at all and suddenly we now have a very unafraid possum and also in the area a raccoon and coyote. Ugh! Worry, fret, grumblecakes!
Back to thinking about what the babies are getting up to at home.
