Baby chicks and tiny bugs

Hello I am wondering What my baby chick has? It’s full of little tiny bugs do all chickens carry these? Is there a way to get rid of them, are the harmful? Thank you very much

Photos would help. Are the bugs on the skin? Could be mites or lice - you can google for photos to help ID what it is.

If they move really fast and you see thickness at the base of their feathers it's lice (these are the eggs). Otherwise probably mites. Both killed by bathing with and treating environmental causes. I use diatomaceous earth and neem oil with a mix Of peppermint, oregano, lemongrass, and clove oils on the birds and their environment. I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS SAFE FOR CHICK'S. But I'm sure someone on here knows. I'm also not a fan of the idea of using pyrethrins (sevindust) . Farmers have done it successfully before but it scares me to use poison on my girls.
