Baby chicks countdown thread!

Finally got pictures of some of the babies. 2 California whites, a gold wyandotte, an olive egger, 2red stars, a gold star and the last one I have no clue what she is.

I ordered another batch of chicks that shipped on the 14th. I'm very confused this time round. First, I ordered from Ideal again, but this time, they've shipped from Houston instead of Coppell, tx. Houston is much farther away, and the reason I ordered from Ideal is because their hatchery is close to us. Does ideal have multiple hatcheries? Second, they estimate the chicks to arrive on the 18th. Isn't 4 days a bit long for chicks? I'm much more worried this time around because of how far they're coming from and how long they're saying it will take.

I sure hope so. We have a cold front coming in tomorrow night and are dropping down to the teens. I don't want them still in a box at that point.
