Baby Chicks Tomorrow!

Chicks were "mis-sent" and ended up in louisiana .. They left new Orleans ths morning at 2:45am, but aren't expected here until tomorrow morning. :(
I hope they're okay. When I called MPC, I spoke with a very rude man who continually interrupted me- he said despite the tracking saying they are guaranteed by a certain day, they're not. He's the first person who has been rude though.
I'm worried if they don't make it alive, and MPC refuses to send me 6 more or refund my money w shipping. =/ that was a lot of money ... Of course I want them to be alive and healthy.

They will have been in the mail almost 4 full days by tomorrow. You think they will be okay?

THEYRE HERE!!!!!! Question- If they're just chirping calmly, but mostly quiet, when still, is that a good thing? They aren't frantically chirping, but they;re not as loud as I had expected?

They all made the trip- alive and well! Let's pray they stay that way. I've already got 3 named- The blondest is Dolly, the darkest is Tessa, and One with swirls is Essie. Don't know about the others yet. I showed each one their food and water, and they are going crazy. They're SO DANG CUTE! I don't want to leave them to go clean hosues today, but I have to. Only 4 hours away from them, you think they will be okay?

Any tips on getting a good picture of the girls? None of mine are coming out well.

PICTURES!!!

Thanks SunFlower- I think they're talking with my Canary! Haha Dolly has definitely established herself as the ring leader- I am hoping she's not really a HE... Named another one, but can't really figure out how to distinguish the other two from each other... Time will tell I guess.

After they get acquainted w their brooder, I will try to get some better pics that don't involve the red light being on. I think that's what's messing them up- that and my ancient camera.

(Above picture) far left-Tessa, top Left- Dolly, top middle-Ginger, bottom middle-Essie, two on far right no names yet

Yay! They look great, and dont worry about the peeping, its what they do. They Peep, Poop and eat. You will get used to their peeps quickly, the only ones you have to worry about are the distressed peeps, and you can tell which ones they are, though while they are getting used to their new place they might peep a bit more with the distresses. They like to talk, you will be amazed at all the sounds they make. Chrips, whirls, trills, peeps, ours peep happily even while they are eating.

Love the pictures!

Thanks guys! The husband came home on his lunch and checked on them for me. He suggested Chicky and Soup for the two unnamed chicks- and I think since they enjoyed Jumbalaya while on their detour in New Orleans, those just might fit! haha

They're just happy as can be! =) They're not huddled up, but they're not panting or peeping in distress. I think they're brooder is reading about 86*, and they seem good with that. I can't wait for them to get to enjoy fieldtrips outdoors, soon. It's in the high 70s here, so I know I need to wait a while, but it's so exciting! =)
