My ducks if I catch them soon enough and take the eggs it will break their broody. They just find another spot and start laying in a different place. When I wanted Rob to take her pic I couldn't find her. I knew she was sitting somewhere.How DO you break a duck out of bein' broody, anyway? I know with chickens all you gotta do is dunk their bellies in cold water but something tells me that won't work on a duck.
I cannot break my Scovy's I just keep taking their eggs and let them sit, as long as they come out and eat and get a bit of exercise I just let it run it's course. It's kind of like a raging fever they eventually get over it.

Hopefully Wobbles will quit seeing you as his mate and mate with Bean. Are you going to let Bean sit on eggs? She might make her own decision on that one being that she is nippy. Fiesty little duck isn't she?

Yes, that's why I'm only leaving 3 or 4 eggs in the nest if we get to that point.
