baby duck with lots of problems

Oh I see the old drop head and challenge trick. That's not going to work when they go though the breeding season. They will call his bluff then, Opie will be going up the hill instead of them.

I'm thinking the same, Opie was low man on totem pole until I re home the other 2 drakes so he thinks he wears the britches right now lol

We were in town today so we stopped by one of the farm stores that sell chick's to look at prices. They had a tub marked as americanas and a picture of blue, green, pink, tan eggs saying that's what they laid. And I'm thinking these are easter Eggers right? Because ameraucanas only lay blue eggs. So I tell an employee and shes like "they're the same exact breed" and I'm going "no, EE's have ameraucanas in them but they're not the same breed. EE's aren't even a recognized breed," she got soo mad at me! Just because I was trying to be helpful for sales, even other people noticed it and said the same thing. I guess I won't try to help anymore, Realistically I knew they wouldn't do anything but she didn't need to get mad

Uno is doing fine.  I think him and Que Sera are going to be mates.  Their usually hanging around close togeather. Que Sera follows him around and is a little flirt.

Awe. That's sweet that they're going to be mates! Would you let her raise some babies of her own when she's old enough? Is Uno a good boyfriend and is courting her

Awe, so precious for both of them. I love that they've bonded so well. It has gotta be cute watching her flirt with him. What's Topper been up to?

Geez, she needs to go get a job in a room by herself where she doesn't help people.

I would have to think about it. Maybe next spring. It's so hard tho to give them away I want to keep them all. Uno is a good boy so far. He hasn't reached puberty yet. Uno is the youngest in the flock and he is the biggest duck.

I'm so happy that she is bonding with Uno like she is. They do look like a couple. What is Topper up too? Eatting, eatting and eatting. If Topper doesn't eat something nobody will. Poor Freckles was caught in the netting I put over the flower bed to keep the ducks and chickens out this morning. She was hanging by one leg I had to scream for hubbie to bring the scissors and cut the netting off of her foot. She is ok but the other ducks looked at me like I was trying to kill her. She was ok and didn't limp at all when we set her free. Thank goodness.

Most people they have working with the chickens don't have a clue about them. I'm glad you told her about the americanas being easter eggers.

Topper and her food. She is in charge for sure. But she is a duck and love her lots. Awe, poor Freckles. I bet she was scared getting stuck. So thankful you found her in time and rescued her. Interesting about the other ducks looking at you in a way where they thought you were trying to kill her. I can only imagine they stopped what they were doing to observe. Did she fight you as you were trying to free her? I am glad she is ok.
