Thanks Patty for the congrats. Every time I see that pic I am amazed I actually was there to get it. Me and photography are not friends.
Any way I was very happy to see they made it in. Really to me shows just how devoted geese are to each other.
we're having mild temps to into upper 60's and close to 70 tomorrow then back down into low 60's but still awfully nice weather for fall. I hope your Hubby get the duck house finished and they get to move in before cold sets in.. Nice nest boxes well you'll need to post some pics when it's all done. These men are nice to have around aren't they.
My son has built a goose shelter for me I wanted something for them to get out of the weather if I have to put them up into the other fenced off area when they are not nice to the rest of the flock well it wasn't going to have a floor but now it does and It will have doors so if I have to separate the 2 pairs come breeding season I will have a place for the other 2 to sleep Hopefully I won't have to separate them but I need to be ready just in case. So what started out as one thing has lead to another but so thankful my son was willing to do it for me.
I was thinking about putting the calendar in Opie house but I figured once he saw Sam he'd rip it to shreds so I gave up that idea. I have a feeling Opie being dethroned is short lived, once testosterone is once again flowing through his body he'll yank Sam down off his throne and we will start all over again
Hey how is Clyde doing? I'd like to say Ernie is up chasing Ruth around the yard but he is in retirement with that, but he is up walking some so I am happy.
