baby duck with lots of problems

I am feeding our ducks and chickens lots of extra corn and dog food too, and our ducks love it.they are starting to get bored with the corn tho, Miss Wonky is back in the shed with the bantams and our big duckling "Just Ducky" she's gotten wobbly again, she was getting stuck in the pool, And I was worried about her.

This is Just Ducky and her bantam buddies.

She is so cute all surrounded by the little Bantams.

Awe, so sweet you adopted the little turtle. Thank goodness for him!!

Is Goldie spending the night indoors? Is she ok?

So if Topper likes a food then the others know it's ok to eat?
I don't think the turtle would have made it to long walking in the street the way he was. We've adopted him so now we have another pet.

Goldie is doing fine I just felt sorry for her out in the yard. I brought her in the house to spend some time with her. She's been sleeping in the pet carrying case at night in the coop. I think that is probably the warmest place in the coop. She picked a good spot to sleep.

Topper is like the taste tester for all the ducks. They will sit and stare at the plate and if they see Topper shoveling it down they will eat it. There were a lot of corn kernels in the food bowls this morning but they ate the layer food and the dog food. Topper must have turned her nose up at it. That doesn't happen very often.

Clyde wouldn't take his pills this morning but I'll keep trying to get him to take them. Toppers gang stormed the food bowls in the back this morning and threw everyone off . Then when I fed the group out front there was all the ducks competing for the food bowl. Clyde didn't get a chance to stand off to the side to get his bread he was bomb barded by Que Seras group because I didn't shut the back gate. Leave it to Topper to throw the best of plans off.

I hope everyone has a great day.

That picture is just precious. They look like their all best of friends. Thanks for sharing and I hope the duck gets better.

well the chicks seemed to do well in the coop last night. We had them in a kennel so they could see the big girls and they could see them an we're doing the same tonight. Trying to get them all used to each other ya know?
That's sweet of Robbie to adopt that turtle, it seems like a domestic turtle if it's so friendly? That would be my thought anyways, if thats the case it's sad someone would just let it go. Glad robbie found it and nothing bad happened to the poor thing.
I'm glad they did good. I know it's hard to get everyone used to each other.

Yes I would think the turtle was domestic he is just to friendly plus he had the glitter on his shell. I don't why someone would put glitter on a turtle but they did.

A turtle wow how cool Patty does it like lettuce? If I see them crossing the road I stop and help them over so they don't get smooched. I usually only see them on our little road but the cars go down the mt. so fast.
We got him some romaine lettuce and spinch leaves. I haven't seen him eatting any of it. He did eat some of the koi food and a little bit of an apple. I worry about him not eatting enough and finding something he really enjoys eatting. It's funny when he wants to sleep he will pull the newspapers up and sleep under them.

Maybe he uses the newspaper similar to a hole don't they sleep down in a hole? How big is this turtle they do make turtle food.

He's about the size of a cereal bowl. I tried giving him some reptile sticks. It has a picture of a turtle on it and he looks at it but won't eat it. Maybe I will find something he likes eventually. I think they do sleep in a hole so that's probably what he's doing.

I still haven't got Clyde to take his pill. I'll try again in a little while.

Ernie does that at times especially if there are chickens around I think they stress him out when I am trying to give him his pill they are lurking around trying to snatch bread. So I wait till they are in another part of the yard then he usually takes it from me. Especially if he thinks he is going to get a few more pieces of bread.

I hope the turtle will eat soon. Maybe once he feels comfortable he'll eat.

Ducky was the only duck that hatched, my ducks had just started laying again and I didn't want her to be lonely all her hatchmates were chicks and she got too big for the inside brooder so I tried to put her in the outside one but she was miserable without the chicks she hatched with.so about an hour after I moved her out I brought her buddies out too and she was so happy she peeped at them and they all gathered around her and she was laying her head on them like they were cuddling. I guess she's the leader of the group , because they all follow her around.
