No I have one Samson-Sammy-Sam Depends on what mood I am in is to what I call him.
LOL...that's what I thought. Thanks for clearing that up. Kind of like me and Alfalfa. She's typically Falfie now unless she's being a brat.

I know I keep looking at the clock thinking isn't it time for bed yet? I had 4 chickens already on the roost at 3pm today. They must be getting old. That's a great pic of Sammy but I hope Opie doesn't see it. He may get jealous.Tell Opie to stay out of Sams way and grow those feathers fast it's getting pretty chilly at night.
I do not like this daylight savings time. I usually feed and water again around 5 then I remembered we set our clocks back so now I'll have to do that at 4. It's pitch dark out there now and it's not even 7 yet.
Patty
Heebee, but they live so long so its not out of the realm of possibility. If an eastern box turtle started walking from the east to WA state it would probably be 30 yrs old by the time it got there.
Piggy chickens. Lol.Which breed is Topper Patty I know we've probably seen her but i can't remember.
Did Clyde get his pill today.. I was surprised Ernie took his But he did even with the piggy chickens trying to snatch the breed.
Kind of like piggy pigeons Julie.Piggy chickens. Lol.

Your right at least when he got there it would be a nice place to die. lolHeebee, but they live so long so its not out of the realm of possibility.
I know. I totally thought of Eve's when I wrote that.Kind of like piggy pigeons Julie.
I usually wait till mine are size of my smallest chicken.Around 12-14 weeks that way they blend in better and giving them this time together but separate really helps. After I have mine closed up at night in the coop of a morning I'll open the door and let them out with the adults for the day. Then after they have been sleeping like this for a while I just leave the door open and give them the option of sleeping up on the roost or in their cage. I sit outside their coop and watch if they are being really picked on roughly I will get them back in their cage for a while longer. I just recently did it with the young roo from our hatch this year. After a couple nights of going back inside his cage to sleep he got brave enough to try the roost I have 2 Blk Australorps who are bottom of pecking order with all the other chickens so they were the ones who gave him a hard time since he was beneath them. Those girls were not nice but they had to teach him his place. I don't let the getting pecking order straightened out get out of hand though.Jeffery is a good name for the turtle. He's bigger than i expected, do you know if he's going to get any bigger than what he is now?
We didn't have many trick or treaters last night. We had more than usual, but I think the rain scared most off. Had a few hard core candy lovers while it was pouring.
The little chicks are still doing great, and the big girls seem to be okay too. I think they're still too small to spend a night outta the little cage we close them in at night, what ages do you all usually take that leap?
Dave and Lady are doing good still. Lady tries to hide her eggs under the bedding of their kennel so we can't find them, she's not too good at it though.
