baby duck with lots of problems

Awe, Patti, you are more than fit enough for Runners. But honestly, are they a high strung duck birb?

I am glad, Patty, that JR has a safe place to sleep. And how is Jeffrey?
I think you will be able to keep up with the runners. Just put your track shoes on and sprint around the yard. It might take two of you tho.

Jeffery had his breakfast of kale leaves, boiled egg and peas. He wasn't impressed. He'll be soaking in a his hot tub shortly. (pie tin) but don't tell him. I'll give him some banana after he comes out. He seems to like fruit more then he likes anything.

I love his diet. Those are all super foods Patty and exactly what I eat so often. Ha-ha, pie tin hot tub. Love it.

Heehee. Hiders. Does Topper lay and hide?
Yes Topper does lay and hide. Last summer I had to take the wood pile apart to get to her eggs. She seemed happy to give up her nest she didn't want to sit that long anyway.

I'm afraid that Jeffery is not into eatting healthy but I'm going to keep offering it to him. Hubbie gave him a bite of hotdog and he ate it. He said it's better then eatting nothing. Then I found a piece of pepperoni off the pizza on his lid last night. I threw that away before he got to see it.

Years ago when we had chicks in a brooder in the house I walked by the brooder and they were tearing up a big glob of mashed potatoes. I wasn't even going to give them grit because I knew they were just eatting chick starter. Later that day I found them eatting a piece of apple pie. From then on the chicks got grit because no telling what snacks they were getting.

Funny gurl. So she actually does duck things. Cuz she is really a character. That is cute. They get so creative. She was prolly glad cuz it meant she could spend more time leading her gang of webbs.

Hubbie is probably right. Jeffery is a picky eater. But good thing you got the pepperoni away from him. The spices in it may not make his tummy happy. He sounds like a kid with his preferences.

I have never heard that before. Chicks eating mashed potatoes and apple pie. Just goes to show they have taste buds and prefer comfort foods like we do. And of all things, too. I mean those aren't random foods. Like maybe they stumbled on dog food or bread crust on the floor. It is funny and another reason why you need a TV show.

Oh yes the chickens and the ducks prefer human food to their food anyday. One evening I come home from work and I asked hubbie what they had for supper. He said K of C. I was like oh no and he said the chickens ate it their not prejudice.

With Jeffrey in the hallway it's no telling what snacks he will get. I'll keep an eye on his lid because I don't want him turning into a junk food junkie.

Ha,that is funny hubby fed them KFC. And they loved it. If only they knew. I can't blame them. The spicy outer coating is good. I would never tell them they are cannibals. May make them feel bad.

Good plan to watch what Jeffrey eats regarding junk food. We don't wanna make him any slower than he already is.

My chickens will eat anything. Any leftovers are fine. The ducks watch them eat and then they dive in too. Meat, eggs, homemade bread, cookies, your sandwich if you don't watch it, chicken in any form, cereal hot or cold, and even pizza.

I had a hen who would jump 2 feet in the air for a toasted marshmallow. Lol
