baby duck with lots of problems

We have no idea what she got into..we gave the other chickens electrolyte water and sprinkled the charcoal on top of their food for precautions though. I'm going to miss her dearly..she was the one who would give us hugs and she gave me one last night before she died, I think she knew..

Oh no. That makes it really hard. I love having little birds or any pet for that matters any loss is always tragic.

Sorry for the loss of your chicken. I wanted to mention that you can string the CDs on heavy fishing line (20#or better) and hang them across the whole yard or property if needed. I ised to do this to keep all birds out of my yard.

Thanks all, losing her was very hard because she was such a sweet bird. And yeah @tomynoks I am thinking about doing that because the Cooper was sitting on our fence the other day looking down on our ducks who were attempting to hide under some brush. Luckily we were outside when he flew in, but he/she is a very brave bird as it flew into our yard and landed within 10 feet of us! Coopers bug me the most with how daring they are. It's been raining too hard to let the chickens out much anyways, but the ducks dont mind the rain so we let them out, thank goodness they watch the sky a bit though! Hope they continue to do so.

Pulled up today from getting back from the horses and under our Blue Spruce tree was a huge pile of white feathers. I freaked and ran inside and out to the backyard because we left Dave and Lady out this morning, I finally found them by the chicken coop but my heart dropped when I saw that pile, I thought for sure the Hawk had gotten one of them. After taking them back inside for the ultimate protection I went out front to the pile of feathers to investigate. There were feathers caught in the branches up to about the middle of the tree, the hawk sat there and ate a bird this morning apparently. Those feathers were not there yesterday, my mom thinks they are from either a chicken or turtle dove.
