baby duck with lots of problems

Playing games with YooHoo that's a good beginning.
Sounds like she is making great progress!
Yes she is making progress. She is noticing them and trying to interact with them. She is not glued to my ankle anymore. Yesterday the duck flock was all laying together and she laid down about five foot away from them but she still kept me in her sight.

You are her security but I think you'll see soon she'll be one of the flock. How are you going to feel letting her go? I was happy to see Ope with everyone but you know what he still likes to come inside and get cuddles, sometimes I lay a towel on the floor and he'll lay by my chair while I am on the computer so I have a feeling she is going to still want to spend time with you.

So cool of Ronda Runner to hatch a baby. I bet he's a cutie. Que Sera is all over the place. Getting chased by Yoohoo and Ronda Runner. Funny.
The baby duck is precious. She still only has the one but I counted the eggs awhile ago and she has 4 left. I hope she hatches at least 1 more so it won't be by itself. Most of the time the baby duck went in the chain link fence when one of the ducks come over to look at it. This time it run back in the nesting box and Que Sera went in the nesting box with it. Rhonda run her out real fast. We moved the nesting box shortly after that. They were getting to many visitors.

I hope that one day Que Sera and Yoo Hoo and Hershey will be friends. She's only 5 days younger then they are so they are close to the same age.

This is Miss Wonky, I could not get a picture of her on the ground she kept moving in to the shadows.
The next picture is of her roomies

And the two bigger ducklings are her younger sisters, the little one is a chocolate Muscovy.

That is sweet that Ope still comes in the house with you to visit. I hope that Que Sera will do that with us. It will be sad to break the bond with her but I want her to have that choice. I'll always feel like I'm her mom but if she chooses to join the flock I will let her go. She loved Turbo so much and I want her to be able to have a friend or mate and not be alone.

Give Ope a big hug for me the next time he comes in. I love that name too.

Que Sera will be 6 weeks old tomorrow. She loves the game of chase that's her favorite. When I go in she comes in the house. She has a cage that she stays in. Thank goodness for her mirro she is happy with that and stays pretty quiet in the house. I take her outside every day so she can be around the other ducks and spend some time outside and get some exercise. If I walk around the yard she follows me.

Patty

Too cute!! Sounds perfect for both of you. She gets to stay close to you and visit the others.

Sweet Ope. Sitting inside next to you. I love that he does that. I can picture him all pancaked out on the floor.

That is funny. That baby is very adventurous and brave going next door thru the fence. I hope she gets a sibling soon. Too many visitors in the nesting box. Other ducks and Que Sera. It would be fun to have a camera set up capturing all this action.

She is having the best of both worlds. You and her flock mates in sight. Good for her. She deserves it.
