baby duck with lots of problems

@pattyhen Funny but for having ducks for over 11 yrs I don't have any idea what it is to have quackers. since I have Muscovy but my geese make up for it.

@Julie Bird
this is the best I could get today had to much to do and Opie didn't stay in long just long enough to have his dog food. lol

EEeeeeeee, he's so cute in the house Miss Lydia. I love him. He a big boy. I love the sight of his webs on the hardwood floor. I bet you can hear them when he walks around. He's in to eat and then out promptly. Did he leave a tip? on a more professional note, his feathering is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for posting pics of him in your house.

We still only have the one baby duck. She is still in the nesting box so there is still hope.

Que Sera got in the tub today. That girl is floater. She would kick her feet a little bit but mainly she floated. She did dunk her head under a lot too. She didn't do any Ester Williams strokes like she did when she was tiny.

Que Sera chased Yoo Hoo again today. I think she might be flirting with him. I'm not for sure if he is a boy or not but his neck is a lot thicker then Hershey's. I wish Thelma would let me get close enough to pick them up and I could tell then. Their voices are a good way to tell.

I hope everyone had a nice day. I've been doing laundry all day.

Patty
p.s. Looking forward to seeing a pic of Ope when you get the chance.
Que Sera floats. Heehee. She is a boat bird and lets her paddles dangle in the water. Regarding thick necks on fowl. I always assume the thicker necked Canada goose is the male when he is close to a female in proximity. And generally his body is bigger too. Is Thelma just shy towards people in general? And if you just wander too close to her does she move away?

Que Sera is funny. Chasing Hershey.

If Princess didn't keep her calm we would all be wearing ear plugs in the house.

That is hilarious I have to admit. Wow. I have never encountered a duck in a house but I can believe it. Sometimes when my finches are yelling and chirping I have to turn up my TV and their bodies are about 13 grams in weight each so collectively both do weigh about an ounce. Sometimes I tell them the whole neighborhood can hear them. It is hard to believe they can be so loud at that size. But a Que Sera webbed feeted bird without a Princess has got to be something else. It is cute you have to admit.

Muscovy's make noise but only time you'll hear a quack is under distress like when one of the geese has caught on by tail feathers or if I have to catch one and even then sometimes they don't let out a quack. Drakes make a hissing sounds and girls trill. They can get loud at times when they all start talking together but no quacking.

I bet Que Sera has picked out a friend in Yoo Hoo and of course she has to chase him to let him know she means business. Mine love to get into the pool and just float too. it's so cute must be like going to the spa and relaxing in the hot tub. I got a pic of Opie laying on his towel next to me I'll post later. No I don't wear a diaper on him i just keep the paper towels and spray handy. lol
I would love to see the picture of Opie laying on his towel, Miss Lydia. He is such a sweet boy. Can Opie kinda fly a little bit?

OH! This is my favorite picture of him! ADORABLE!!
Thank you!! He's my baby boy and it's so precious to be able to hug and smooch on him my others would rather I didn't.
He has been in the house 2 hrs now and still isn't ready to go outside. His poor girls probably think he has abandoned them. lol

I'd probably burst into tears if I saw a mama rejecting a baby. I'm very glad you were in the right place at the right time.
