baby duck with lots of problems

What is it made of? A piece of construction paper made into a cone?

Yea, just some computer paper and a bit of marker to make it pretty. I put some string through the bottom to tie under is 'chin' and tapped it together..took more time to make the darn thing than he wore it lol

It sure is cute. He's lucky to have a mom like you.

Good morning everyone I hope your morning is going great.

Julie the chicken in the hat is a pic that robbie goggled and inserted in my post for  the imaginary party.  He read the post and said you need a chicken in a party hat but I didn't have any.

The coop and yard is pretty quiet this morning.  The older girls are venturing out in the yard.  I saw Nugget one of the teenagers squatting so it won't be long before she is laying.  I know the ducks will be happy about that.  They have been supplying the eggs every morning for everyones breakfast.  Skiddles does lay an egg just about everyday but her supply does not meet with the demand. I cannot eat the chicken or the duck eggs.  I know that is crazy I buy eggs at the store for us.  They don't go to waste the chickens and the ducks eat them everyday after I boil them.  They expect them and if I don't put eggs on top of their layer and scratch they have a fit.  If I don't have enough eggs from the ducks and Skiddles I boil them some store bought eggs to eat.  Their not bit spoiled.

the google hatted chicken is cute anyway and it is best hour birds are so spoiled. Mine are too. Who has 2 finch ducks flying all over their house making little deposits everywhere?

PS, I have been offered chicken and duck eggs from people who have them and always have refused cuz I prefer buying refrigerated eggs from the store like you.

I'm with you and @pattyhen on that. I have never been able to bring myself to even try any of our duck eggs. That would feel like eating my grandchildren or something.

Yeah another one. Most people say well why do you have them then if you don't eat the eggs? They are pets and I love all of them dearly.

LOL...hey now! I'm planning to eat ducks eggs when mine start laying. Mind over matter, I hope. Not 100% positive that it won't bother me.

Deb I see no problem with you eatting your duck eggs. I just can't do it. I know they are better for you then the store bought ones.

Hey, as long as they're not fertilized I have no problems with it. Only issue is, as a call duck, Bean isn't gonna lay many eggs at all! They'll be teeny, too...trying to figure out how the heck to tweak my recipes around it.
