WEEEEE!!!!!!! One of my ducks gifted me an egg!!!

Wanna bet? he was in alot today because it rained hard and Opie doesn't like to get rained on hard. Those dogs were mumbling to themselves not sure what they were saying though because Opie was talking every breath. He'd come in drenched with water running off of him I'd have to wrap him in a towel and pat dry before letting him down. Spoiled rotten thing.
Oh Opie is so cute that he comes in soaked from the rain and talks about it. And the dogs get annoyed. You need a reality TV show too, Patti.

Whoa!  This brings them into perspective.  I had no idea they were that small.  I'm with Julie..."To see a duck the size of a pigeon with those features in real life would probably shock me into a frenzy of squealing and hyperventilating."  Gosh, it sure is hard not to run out and get all these precious breeds I see on BYC!!
I would love to see a real one, Debs. Imagine the bitty webs.

The stories you all tell are hilarious! Never fail to make me laugh.
Random question but does anyone else's ducks get feathers caught in their noses? Mine do all the time and I'm constantly pulling them out.

Today on our way up to feed the big animals on my gpas property I saw a giant bird with spots fly across the road and land in a tree on the other side. I thought it was a cooper's hawk since I see them up there a lot but after stopping the truck and getting out I saw the back of this big Bird that was brown with white speckled spots and it's head turns all the way around and it's eyes were black! Turns out it was a spotted owl!! I've never actually seen a wild owl before so it was amazing, it just sat there and stared at us for a while. It took off eventually and we went and fed, on the way back down I pulled up some spotted owl noises just thinking maybe it'll respond. We sat there playing then for about fifteen minutes before giving up. As we were driving away I looked back one more time and see the owl in the branch above where we had stopped all Fluffed up and wings spread, like in the "back off" body language! I never even saw it fly up!! By the time we backed up it was gone. It was truly amazing to see such a beautiful creature
