baby duck with lots of problems

Such a handsome fella! I still love him even though he gives Opie the business.
I think Opie and SAM have come to an agreement, as long as Opie stays out of Sams way things are okay for now. It's a good thing Opie needs all his feathers he's growing in it's going to be cold soon.

Which breed is Topper Patty I know we've probably seen her but i can't remember.

Did Clyde get his pill today.. I was surprised Ernie took his But he did even with the piggy chickens trying to snatch the breed.
Topper is a fawn runner. She has a crest but in the spring it almost disapears. She is very popular and most of the time she encourages it.

Yes Clyde got his pill. I'm glad Ernie got his. I don't even attempt to give clyde his pill while the chickens are out. They come out after I feed the ducks and give Clyde his pill.

When I fed the chickens tonight I noticed Jr. the old silkie rooster wasn't in the coop. Hubbie and I looked everywhere for him. Finally we spotted him staggering up to the coop from the back yard. The only place I can guess he was maybe under the shed. I did get down on my hands and knees and called him but I didn't see him. He ate and drank when he got in the cage he looked wore out.

Aww poor fellow How old is Jr Patty? I hope he's okay..

Usually Ernie freaks out if the chickens are any where around when i try to give his his pill, he really surprised me today boldly taking it from me, No telling tomorrow.

I remember Topper now such a pretty ducklet[as Julie would say] I love Runners would love to have some but I worry about Opie mating with them, Does Clyde mate with Topper? The drakes being so much heavier.

That's a great pic of Sammy but I hope Opie doesn't see it. He may get jealous.

Tell Opie to stay out of Sams way and grow those feathers fast it's getting pretty chilly at night.

I do not like this daylight savings time. I usually feed and water again around 5 then I remembered we set our clocks back so now I'll have to do that at 4. It's pitch dark out there now and it's not even 7 yet.

I think I estimated Jr. being around 10 or 11. He's ok just wore out. I think Coach run him out of the cage and he got turned around outside.

Clyde I don't think mates with Topper, Donald would have a fit. Clyde did mate with Sherry but he hasn't been very frisky since his hips started bothering him. He may perk up this spring. If you had a female runner she would probably be bald on the back of her head from Opie. They don't weigh very much at all.

Wow JR is that old bless his heart. My oldest roo is just over 6yrs. I hope he'll live that long. So he sleeps in a cage in the coop to keep him safe?
