baby duck with lots of problems

On and off raining over here! Making it hard to drive to the pasture where we keep our horses and cows. Have gotten stuck in the mud multiple times, and we'll have a few dry days and it will harden up again and right before we can actually drive it again the rains is back! Not gonna complain too much though, I know we need the rain

We have two horses and one cow, but also take care of my grandpas heard of 34 (i think) as he is 95 years old and can't do it all himself. They are beef cows, black Angus to be exact.

We don't drink milk from our cows. All the milk they produce goes to their babies, thought I do want to get a milk cow! They need milked twice a day everyday though and we don't drink or need that much milk haha.

Awe, that's cool. That makes sense if you don't consume that much. I tried some a few weeks ago from a local farm and absolutely loved it. It is super expensive, like 8 bucks a gallon and will be something I treat myself to occasionally. I drink tons of milk and like the idea that raw milk is as natural as it gets. Not processed.

Julie can you buy raw milk over the counter. It's not legal to sell it in NC.

No because it is illegal here too. What you do is you buy it directly from the farmer. How I got it this time was I went into a cool funky little place called Localvore. They "house" the raw milk and only act as the temporary storage for people that buy it from the farmer. Localvore does not profit from it all.

When I went in there to ask about it and after getting the information, the sweet gal went to the locked cooler and gave me a free half gallon to try. I was so happy. But as much milk I personally drink, it would be 64 bucks a month for me to do it so i'll just contact the dairy farmer and see if I can get it occasionally.

Sounds like a nice way to work around it. I love milk too and drink alot of it. I could probably find someone who sold it if I looked hard enough I just haven't pursued it. I like milk with chocolate almond milk mixed in ever tried it?Organic is expensive too but not at 64 bucks a gallon. Whew
