I would love to get some goats can you tell .e a little bit about them like are they loud how much is there food and do they make the yard stink how much room do they need thanks sorry for all the questions

I saw the words baby goat on the thread and I had to open it. I absolutely am crazy about baby goats. We are planning to build a bigger shelter by next year so we can have more. My babies aren’t babies anymore
Goats being loud really depends on what type you get but most are loud all the time. My Boer goats are generally quiet and less something is wrong but the Nubians are very talkative. Nubians are great they’re very talkative in silly and nature. I have four Goats on 2 1/2 acres and Yard never stinks and I hug my goats all the time because they’re my babies and they never stink. Male goats stink to high heaven. And I usually would never suggest anyone get a male goat and less they plan on breeding it and keeping it separated at certain times. As far as room that again would depend on the goat. The Nigerian dwarfs the OP Had don’t get very big. Under 100 pounds but types like the ones I have are 140-150 pounds. And there are some that are bigger than that out there. Deciding to breed you want really does have to do with what you want to use the goat for And the area size in situation you have. But if you’re like me I couldn’t imagine my life without those guys now. Something about a goat hits. a special place inside of me. And food is pretty cheap. As far as grain they don’t need a lot and actually too much is bad for them. But they do go through about three bales of hay a week but that’s not too bad. They eat almost all day but it’s mainly Forge and hay. A 50 pound bag of feed is less than $20 and it lasts mine at least three weeks probably more like a month
