hey everyone, I know this is a website mostly for chickens, but was hoping maybe someone could help with a problem I have with one of my parrotlets. I’ve been a parrotlet breeder for a fee years now and I’ve never had problems but I have a parrotlet chick that has some feet problems. As she has been growing I’ve noticed that her toes aren’t right. As with most parrots, there are 2 toes pointing forward and 2 toes pointing behind them so they can climb and grip, but my baby has toes that aren’t straight and on one foot one of her toes seems more like it’s pointing forward along with the two other toes. The parents have good bloodlines and definitely aren’t related so I wouldn’t think it would be a genetic thing.. There is also lots of bedding in the nesting box so I don’t think it would be caused by sitting on the hard ground. Other then her feet, she acts quite normal and is actually one of the most active chicks I’ve had at this age. It’s hard to explain some of the details so I will attach some photos. Any help or recommendations would be much appreciated! Thanks!
