Yes, put a wire lid on top. Mine started flying out of the box when they were 1 week old.
I so needed to read this sooner!! I had an escapee last night then half hour later three more due to jumping out the wooden box I was keeping them in! The sides are really high so totally didn't expect them to be able to jump out! Have now moved them into a small aviary, indoors, so no more escaping! They are jumping and fluttering about like seeing if they can fly! So cute! Just hope they are not too cold now as it's winter here. But they still got their heat blanket with hay in inside the hutch part of aviary. And they still eating even though it's night! So can't be cold if still active I guess?
No way!! Can they really go that high!!!Even my adults have only flown about 3-4 foot in the air! And so so fat and slow lol. Like seriously, a predator could just pluck them out the air as they go mine are that slow beating along!!! LOL
