Baby quail fresh out of incubator with broken toe or possibly foot?

Yesterday i hatched out a bob white quail. i was letting it fluff up in the incubator when i heard it peep real loud, looked in the incubator and somehow it had managed to get over the screen cage i have over my cpu fan and had its toes caught in the fan. two are strong but the middle is definitely broken. i took a tiny thin piece of foam and a band aid and wrapped it around the foot. so far it is trying to walk on it but the overall awkwardness makes it difficult and sometimes it looks to be walking more on the back of its legs then the padded foot. So how long should i leave it on?

Thank you. After reading the link I guess i'm going to just keep an eye on it and tape it regularly and see what happens from there.
