Back feathers not growing correctly, please help!

One of my chicks (3 weeks) has almost no feathers on her back, and where she does it looks like they grew in incorrectly. Is there anything to do to fix this? please let me know!!

We need to see a picture. Please remove the chick from under a red lamp before taking photo.

Sometimes a bald spot to the chick keeper is really just a thin patch of down. So we'd need a photo to judge.

Just fast to feather. Sometimes the fluff will fall out as fast, as new pin feathers grow. Makes them look funky for awhile as they grow.

As @MysteryChicken pointed out, those "porcupine quills" are the new feathers and they are pushing out the down. In a week, the bald are should be starting to disappear.

Make sure you don't have a pluckers in the group. Some birds pull out the feathers of others. What feed are you using? Add more protein.
