So Nifty... how does that domain stuff work? I went to backyardgoats.com and got forwarded to a website called 'path to freedom'. So, if they aren't really using it as a goat forum why wouldn't they be willing to let someone else?

I'm just curious as I have no idea how these things work.

Well, someone bought that domain a few years ago and now it "redirects" to another site (probably the same owner).

People sit on domains to sell them for profit later (domain squatting) or because they want to use them, but never get around to it.
