bad eye please help!!!! updated pics

If I thought it was a injury rather than a illness I would flush it in warm saline then put a Triple Antibiotic Ophthalmic Ointment (NPB) on it. If you can do it three times a day it would be great.

Was just looking at your pics. How were you giving the Tylan and how much? Looks to be a localized infection going south. Can you post a shot of her `beak on' (see how much swelling there actually is). Try regular course of IM Tylan. I'd suggest using Terramycin opthalmic ointment on the eye (the stuff has a tendency to stay where it is applied).

Definitely keep her quarantined (I'm just working from the picture) as it could be systemic and not localized at all.

Enlarged to the point of being lost in the `lack of pixels':

I have a bourbon red hen that had the exact some thing happent to her... her eye was pecked and became infected, I gave her a shot of penicillin, it cleared right up... but she did loose the eye.

gave her tylan a couple times it seems to me its starting to clear up today its not as think as it used to be and i can start to see black behind all the puss/crust i hopeing she still has an eye,
does any one have any suggestions on how long i should keep her isolated from the others after using the tylan (hopefully after full recovery) or is it not to any affect?

thanks again all info has been usful

Keep her isolated until it's cleared up. I still think it was an injury that started it but you never know, it's always better to be safe then sorry sickness wise and if she does end up with one eye she is going to be a step down on the pecking order right from the start.
