Baffled by my eggs

This question I am sure has been asked a million times so please forgive me.......I have 6 hens, they began laying August 26th.....I have gotten 6 eggs on 3 separate occasions so I know all 6 are capable of laying hard shelled eggs.
I randomly have gotten a yolk and thin shell about once a week. Today I went to let the girls out at 6:15 am and saw 2 what looked like eggs on the roost. The one in back is like just a yolk with membrane however the other is the size of an egg but intact and NO shell at all. This is being done while "sleeping" They are fed Dumor Pellets, oyster shell, grit and free range a few hours in the afternoon.I don't know which hen it is or how else to prevent this any ideas would be helpful THANKS!

Can this be from one hen??? The one I think it may be (do due to saw her sleeping in area last night) has been laying random JUMBO double yolks.

I was literally about to post the same question! My black sexlink who had been a great layer of jumbo eggs has been laying these shell-less eggs for a week. They are also under the roost in the morning when I let them out. And then a few hours later, she sits in the nesting box for a while with obviously no result. I'll be curious to see what answers you get! My girls also have plenty of calcium, in their feed and supplementary.

Soft shells are not unusual in the first month or so.
Make sure oyster shell is available in a separate container at all times.
Plenty of space and nests with fake eggs to reduce crowding stress can help get them laying in the nests.

They have oyster shell in separate container, and they have 4 nesting boxes for 6 hens. They are in their second month of laying so hopefully that is the reason Thank you for your response

Any other ideas?? she has laid 2 more this week so that's 3 eggs that are very soft almost like NO shell it feels like a balloon but has a perfect yolk and whites inside! Separate oyster shell is given

Hard to say.
Is it the same bird laying all the softies?
Sometimes a bird is just not functional.

My 6 month old barred rock did the same thing last month, having multiple eggs w/o shells layed under the roost for few weeks. I was getting frustrated that it was consistently like that, I mixed handful of oyster shell w/ their feed not sure if that works but she's been laying regular eggs from then on.

Usually not a good idea to mix oyster shell with the feed.
but if they aren't eating it out of the separate container, doing that once can be a way to get some into them.

Yes it's the same bird...... I know she has laid eggs that were "normal" prior to this as well as Jumbo double yolkers!
I have also seen her pecking at the oyster shell which is in a separate container. I am hoping it's just that she is a young layer, and the daylight is shortening and come spring she will straighten out. She is a red ranger which I know is more of a meat bird, but I have 2 and the other one is laying almost daily with no issues. Thanks for the responses.

Young layers can go through a period of making odd eggs until the 'factory' works out the kinks. However, if the same hen is consistently laying odd eggs including double yolks she may have permanent issue. These hens are known to develop a more serious issue of internal laying which will eventually shorten her lifespan.

For now, I'd just observe her for obvious signs of illness.You can also add greens containing calcium-my hens love kale, kudzu and so forth. Greens also contain chlorophyll which aids in toxin removal.
