I'm drooling over those bags, Henthyme, even though I'm not much of a seamstress and wouldn't inflict my sewing on anyone lol. Nor do I even use mine that often, especially since I keep forgetting to take them to the store with me! ARgh. But I'll think of more ways to use them as I get more.

Thank you for the compliments on the bags, I think they are perfect for totes! I do have enough that I am willing to share.

We go thru allot of horse bags having 5 horses that all eat something different.

I made some template pieces out of cardboard for cutting the bottom and tops. Been sorting through my stack in the barn before DH gets to them and they disappear

and cleaning the grain bags I plan to use since they had sweet feed inside. It is easier to cut them to what I want and then when sewing a lot of the prep is done and I can just sew. I was considering getting that silly singer hand held sewing jobby out and seeing if it could be done to create a bag with it. Anyone tried that yet?

I really want to make some messenger bags out of these!

Haha. You should try it! Sewing is something everyone should learn how to do. Including myself. I can only sew by hand. My dad's going to teach me how to use this old rickety thing we have in the living room.

You want to know the really bad thing... My DH bought me a brand new sewing machine 5 years ago.. It's still upstairs in the box.

Right now between the kids (8 next week & 14 months), chickens, horses, house, and garden/yard work I only wish I had the time to try and figure out how to even use the machine let alone make these gorgeous bags.

My wants are to learn to make these bags, learn to clean & decorate eggs & make soap.
