Kristin Hi! What town are you in? Too funny! I noticed that you have a hovercraft in your garage! My hubby tried to build 1 about 3 years ago....tried...oh well! I've been checking out this site for over a month, but finally signed up last nite! Hi to everyone

RE: Bread machines, My hubby is actually going to use one that he got from his gram, (to make the amish friendship bread) which has always worked quite well, but I bet they have even better ones on the market by now!

No, sorry he's gone out in the snow to buy some loaf pans and vanilla instant pudding.

I used to set my bread machine to have bread ready at 6am. I would usually make cinnamon raisin..mmmm

The friendship bread came out really sweet tastes more like a dessert and we didn't even use all the sugar it called for...don't remember it tasting like that years ago, but it's still good

I love bakeing bread on my wood stove it is great. i like making oatmeal and banana bread.

The Land Institute is a sustainable agriculture organization that has been trying to develop perinnial (sp?) grains like wheat.

The family was definately wheat and grain farmers. Very likely came from same area.
