Baking Soda/Vinegar ratio for Euthanasia?

I will indeed have to Cull my disabled chick. I DONT want to snip its head off.Does anyone know the Ratio for Vinegar/Baking soda? I know the method,but not the amounts. Thanks. Also, we have bottled C02, if I hose pump that into an air tight container will that work better?

I am not sure of that. My mom always wrang their necks and that is how I do mine. It is pretty quick.

To each their own, but my chicks peep in distress if their brooder gets even 5 degrees too cool...I couldn't stand to freeze one to death personally.

I tried swallowing a LOT of that Baking Soda/Vinegar Combination....even added a generous portion of Tequila ( ta-kill-ya )....

It didn't do ANYTHING to me....except promote a LOT of "belching".

I don't think it works at all....

The first time I had to cull a chick, I couldn't bring myself to cut its head off, and I felt terrible about freezing it to death, so I figured I could break its neck very quickly. Well, I used way more force than necessary, and the head came right off. After I got over it, I realized how quick and painless it was on the chick, and have stuck with this method. Don't get me wrong, I HATE having to do it, but if you're going to raise chicks, it needs to be done occasionally.

The point is, I think you need to do what's easiest for the chick, not for you! Good luck.
