Recently my Rhode Island red started getting bald spots on her head. I can't really tell if they are soars, wounds, or if maybe she is just losing feathers. Has anyone else seen something like this?

I have had this happen from a young rooster learning how to mount. A lot of roos grab the back of the head right there to mount. Not sure if they outgrow this. My old man roo doesn't grab the back ot the head but all the young ones I've had do.

Thanks for posting! One of my RiRs has one bald spot too.
I don't have roosters (that I know of)... what else could it be?

if the head feathers look chewed or they are itching or shaking their heads I would suspect mites/lice. if might be a pecking order thing (?) I believe when they go to molt they also start looking feathers on their head first
