BamaChicken Blue Orps

These are 9 week old blue orps I hatched from eggs from BamaChicken. The black orps and silkies are from a different breeder. The "kids" were not cooperating very well today but I tried to get a few pix.

Beautiful boys and girls you have there. The first one is a cockerel and the black one (if its as young as the blue one) , but you probably already know that.

Austalorps are from the orginal orpingtons imports from England to Australia. They were then grown out and breed heavily and remarkets and exported as a brand name 'Australorps' - Australian Orpingtons.

anyone know which breed grow faster ?



I have combination of breeds . RIR's , barred rocks , Austrolorps , and soon to get bantams




I know the bantams will be smaller longer , but how about the rest ?


Out of that bunch , which lays 1st. ?
