Most places now are non-smoking now a days, and if they are not you can chose not to patronise the place. I wish I had that option with children.
Not all kids are monsters, but as you know, the few that are ruin it for the rest! As a patron, I would just like the choice of not having to dine with kids when I chose. I have Gkids I love to take out, but I would kindly respect an owners decision not to allow them.

The person is from MD.
"Beginning Feb. 1, 2008, smoking is illegal inside bars, restaurants and private clubs, which includes American Legion halls, throughout Maryland. The state banned smoking in most other workplaces in the 1990s."

I read it as smelling the person - as in smokers who are heavy smokers and have the smell oozing out of themselves and their clothing, whether they are smoking at the time or not.
Personally, I think people who smell like old butt should be banned from restaurants.
