Here's some of my Cochins!!

Tucked wings
Big fluffy buns
Eye color
Skin color
Correct number of comb tips and toes.

Heads up... Don't worry to much about show quality if not showing pro. Its way hard to get sq and hard to maintain. Otherwise if happy and heathy. That's what matters most. Otherwise if want better type.... Then just work with what you have as they are a good start and go from there.

I've only been doing this for 4 yrs and I'm no where close to have sq birds. However they are fun show pet and breeder quality and I'm OK with that. I do want to better their wings and bun, so I buy from better stock. And try. Its all about trial and error. But they are pets and I'll never show them. So bettering their type is my focus... But not to top notch prefect them.

By the way... These are not my birds but a good example a few pages back on nice looking birds.
