My little Black one (Onix) is now showing color on his hackle and his back.

So sorry you lost a baby ..I hate hawks ..I came home today to find one of my Buff Orpington pullets evidently a hawk casualty in the door way to the covered coop run. She was still warm! Looks like she was on her way down the hill just shy of safety.My first preditor loss ever. Sucks!![]()
On a good note though I just candled my eggs. Seems like maybe 12 out of 20 orpingtons, 6 out of 8 Easter Eggs, 8 out of 10 Silkies and 9 out of 10 Bantam Cochins are fertil. Yippie.
