BANTAM COCHINS CLUB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pics
Question for you all. I have 5 pullets they are 11-12 weeks old. A couple days ago I transitioned them to their outdoor coop. We live in WI and there's still some cooler nights ahead. This is my first time owning bantam Cochins so I am not sure how cold hearty they are. It got down to 36 degrees last night and they seemed happy as pie this morning when I went to check on them. Need advice for how cold hearty these sweet birds are!

Can you all tell me at what age my little Cochin man chicken will be fertile? He is about seven months old. I do see him trying to breed with his mate but have no idea if he is successful or if he is old enough. I have another hen going broody and thought I might put a few Cochin eggs under her. Thanx for your help.

I just subscribed to this thread and wanted to express my appreciation for the best bantam breed EVER! This is my lovely hen, Early, that has been one of the most friendly and entertaining chickens that I have ever hatched and raised. I am looking forward to reading up on this thread and hope to learn more

Your hen looks just like my Marshmallow! I love to hold her because she is so fluffy and poofy. They are so sweet! I didn't raise her, I got her from a freind who's dad breeds them.

This is Romeo the Red and Valentine, I got them in February, they are slightly younger than Dixie and Callie who started laying a week before I brought the boys home...I just hatched some of their eggs, and got word that eggs I sent home with a freind hatched as well...so at 7 months I'd say he should be fertile....you can check for fertility by opening an egg and looking for the bulls eye on the yoke...I'm sure there is a thread here somewhere with pictures!
