I got them from www.Purelypoultry.com. 5.35 a chick with free shipping.

Oh! I don't think I saw that website, do you know if they have good quality birds? I would show them in 4-h. They have all the colors I want too!

Honestly this is my first time ordering from them. It says on their web site they don't sell their birds as show quality but that they meet the standards for the breed. I would think they would be ok for showing in 4-h shows.

No problem. It couldn't hurt to order some. I think I spent around 90 bucks for 15 bantam cochin chicks and 4 bantam buff Orrington chicks. All 19 arrived happy and healthy within 24 hours of hatching. If you start showing them you could always meet other breeders that are willing to trade or sell new stock to improve the bloodlines.

Also you said you got blue, are they all blue or could they be blue, black or splash?

I would definitely get blue and barred, I want to keep a barred rooster because barred mixed with other colors is so pretty! So are barred rooster feathers.

Yes she is a Cochin bantam... I made a new post tonight, the last one didn't get any good attention and therefore not much advice... it has pictures of her leg specifically... if anyone ANYONE has any advice, we are so desperate to help her but don't know what to do exactly...
