Any idea why a young rooster would attack people that he doesn't see very often? He hasn't attacked me unless I try to him up when he doesn't want to be put up. I've never had a rooster that just randomly attacked other people any suggestions I really want to keep him.

Can you lock him up when people come over? That’s really the only way to be 100% sure.

I've heard of that pretty frequently. It is like they think of newcomers as a threat, much like the way a dog would.

Keep in mind you're liable if he attacks and injures someone, so he really would need to be confined all the time, even if you're not expecting someone. You can't always know when there will be someone coming to your door.

Electronet fencing keeps my roosters contained, if you can't bear to cull or rehome.
