Bantam coop-tips?.

My dad is gonna order me some chicks that are sebright bantams and i was wondering if anyone has any tips they can help me with, we dont have any bantams yet, but we have std oeg chickens and I have the idea of having a run that is 5 ft squared and the coop will be 2 feet above the run, so they can run under the coop [everything will be fenced in] the coop will be 4 ft squred and a door that is 2 feet wide and 4 feet tall for when i clean it out, and there will also be a ramp/roost etc. I have this down in my sketchbook, I was wondering if any of ye bantam farmers could help us out =]
and anything involving standard old english game chickens would be much appreciated, liek how to raise them tips with them etc. thank you everyone

They are just like the big ones. Just can squeeze though tighter cracks and fly higher over fences.

Sebrights are sassy, bossy, hyper little boogers. They are tough ones...you shouldn't have any problems with them against the "big guys". I have always heard they are sensitive to cold...but I have come to conclude that they climatize just like most other chickens. Just make sure they have a heat lamp on really cold nights and that they stay dry. Good luck!

what if i put the sebrights together alone. will the roosters fight alot or is it just once or twice for
dominance?

Getting back to the coop design question you originally asked, you should think about whether you really want to construct a 4x4 or 5x5 area that is only 2' tall (under the coop)... you may be able to hunker down and clean under there with a rake but when you have to actually retrieve something by hand from under there, like for instance a chicken or an object, it is going to be rather ucky and obnoxious to get to. You may decide it's worth the tradeoff but at least know what you're designing yourself into

i actually thought about that too
but i want run for them, i'm Making one liek that but without the bottom [keep it elvated] and add a run to it. get me?
