I see mille fleur and calico used in a mutually exclusive way. I understand mottled, but how would you explain Mille fleur and calico? Mille fleur is a pattern that exists in other breeds, right? Is calico the same way?

Millie Fleur pattern is a darker red with some white and black mottling. Calico is a light orange/dark buff with lots of white mottling and some black.

Ah, I see it now. I can see why I get both as a descriptor for him. He really is right in between.

Ya he is. All that white makes him kinda look more Calico. But he'd technically be Millie Fleur with to much white.
