Cochins, they are THE single BEST chickens EVER!!! standard or bantam!

Japanese. Mine are some of the sweetest, quietest chickens I have. The hens are good layers for banties too.

i thought japanese were game birds...I didn't realize they were bantams...they are GEORGOUS birds

Oh, I love my little Silver Sebright, my Golden Sebright, my bantam EEs, my bantam BR, my bantam Cochins, my Porcelain D'Uccles, my bantam Dark Brahma, my bantam Barnevelder....

They're all adorable. And they're in a very mixed flock of large fowl, too.

All of my banties are totally sweet. I like the way cochins look, but Im not such a fan of how dirty they get. My little white one is covered in mud. And im always having to trim up their feet feathers to keep the mud balls from hurting them. I would not get any more, simply because of this.

I just got three gold laced bantam cochins and they are so sweet. (they are 3 months old)

I had wanted to also get some Japanese bantams but I hear they don't do well in the cold.
