At what age are you seeing this?

I have hatched 6 Barnevelder cockerels (I'm good huh, no pullets). They are all still healthy but all still under a year old.

just wondering..where did you get your first barnevelders? i'm looking to get some but i've only found one breeder! thanks.

Hi
PeaceofThyme is the best available breeder I know of
you could ask her for others as her stock is somewhat limited
I have tried other breeders and can't recommend them

that said, in the fall I will hatch some chicks from mine, so if you are still looking check back with me
I'm in Sacramento

I bought mine from Christine Cole in Oregon. I have 2 trios and hope to have chicks available this Summer or late Spring. Once fertility is proven I can offer eggs. I'm new to producing birds for sale, so open to constructive criticism.

Hi and

,
I'm from California too near Redding, CA. Christina Ledford does have some of the best Barnevelders around. I got mine from her and I have some from her vB line and the KC line (K. Cratty/Julie Gabbard).

Hi All- I have been searching for a breeder from CANADA that has barnies...someone who is dedicated to this breed and has been working on them-not someone who is just raising hatchery birds because the love them-altho I think that is super awesome, I am trying to create a line of Barnies that are big, beautiful and as close as possible to what they once were...looking forward to hearing from you all with suggestions

Is this group interested at all in Bantam Barnevelders as well? I just hatched out last week 4 bantam barnevelders and would love to be involved. From what I was told from the lady I bought them from, the eggs aren't quite as dark as the regular sized ones, and the double lacing isn't quite as perfected, but they do have that docile nature that barneys are know for. Just curious!

here is a roo i just got.he is my first barnevelder.he has a really good personality.i plan to hatch some good eggs and keep the girls for him and maybe use him in a few other projects.i don't know the standards so don't know if he is a good representation of the breed or not.he is from julie gabbard.

I love those cute little bantam leghorn eggs next to the huge barnevelders! Our bantam leghorn is the sweetest thing, she is great with the kids and the Barnevelders!

Not easy to do since the Barnys are sooooo sweet.... they usually are low on the pecking order
