Thanks for the info. I got them from cackle hatchery. I do have double laced in the mix too. I will post some pictures of the double lace tomorrow.

Cackle owes you a refund if you paid nearly $10 a chick for Barnevelder pullets when the breeds you got are priced less than $3.

I'm thinking that it's too soon to tell for sure, especially just from the front-on pics. Give them two more weeks, and it should (hopefully) be obvious.

Thanks for your help everyone. I am getting a refund and they are different breeds and was handled very well. I am looking at getting some from northwoods poultry who also have the blue laced. Any other recommendations? I do not have an incubator. Thanks

Hi, everyone! If anyone within driving distance of Eastern Kentucky would like a pure Barnevelder cockerel, we have several free to a good home. We had a great hatch from shipped eggs in March and had a surplus of boys. We're going to process them, but they are so sweet and gorgeous and since the breed isn't too easy to come by, I wanted to first see if anyone would like to give them a good life instead! We do a lot of weekend trips, so we could even meet you depending on where you are. PM if interested.

Here are some pictures of my bantams hatched 6/5. Some are quite dark and others much lighter, but they're in chick feathers so their final molts are some time away.

I just got some silvers too. My friend gave me three project chicks that came from the ones I gave her a few years ago. I guess I'll see what I can do with these. They are large fowl.
