Those were a different set,I found the little slip of paper, it somehow got pushed under the bator

These are due on the 4th of august. I keep meaning to post pics of the chicks that hatched from the 7/5 set I got seven out of eleven ( had two power outages

) 4 of my barnevelder eggs from locally acquired stock and 3 Halflings that are half barnevelder... I think they ended up being black sex links. The four pure barnevelders are looking a lot better than I was expecting so maybe with some luck I will get some nice hens out of this.

My Barnie brood will be 12 weeks old tomorrow. They are a hoot! I call them, "The Committee," because they surround me whenever they want something, and all peep at once. It sounds like they had a meeting and decided to, "take it to The Person."

I finally took pictures. Sorry they are so bad. I need a new camera. I promised Trisha pics back when they were about 4 weeks old.

Trisha, I only can identify one of the Cornevelders for sure because she got nicknamed Sticky Chick after hatching with her wing stuck to her. She's the one to which I gave several baths in the first 24 hours. She got a red ID band which has been her color ever since. Can you tell which one might be the other Cornevelder? There were only 2.

Here's the crew:
Bianca (more red than I would like on her neck)

Sky (he got hurt somehow, and tore his left wattle and broke his beak. he is eating fine, and seems to be recovering. he's not a fighter at all, but is the explorer in the group. I guess he explored in a bad place. first pic is of his broken beak.)

Hi Stephanie,
It's hard to tell at this age which one would be the cornevelder especially with the boys because at this point they have very low % of dark cornish in them. But, I would suspect Bianca, because of her lacing. A couple of the cornevelder pullets that I hatched this year have lacing and coloring that look's similar to Bianca's. As the get older and get their "adult" feathers it may be easier to tell.

I have some pullets I'm waiting on too:) Their combs are getting redder everyday

Here's some pics of a few of my cockerels that hatched in late May and early June. I only got decent pics of 3 of the 9. They were having too much fun eating the peach I gave them.

Trisha

I really like this guy and he's one of the best.

I like this cockerel's body the most, but his comb is the "worst".....go figure. He also was the first to crow at 4 weeks-old and that's the earliest I've ever had a cockerel start, LOL.

I like this boy too. He's about 3 weeks younger than the first two pictured. I like his top line the best so far
