I have this barnevelder chick. Around 3 weeks old. Does anybody have any idea if it looks male or female? Is it too early to tell? It’s wings seemed to take longer to grow than my other chick breeds. And it’s legs are thicker. Don’t have another barnevelder to compare it to though so I really don’t know. Thanks

Thanks for the quick answers! As of right now I have 9 hens. This one would be the only rooster. What are your opinions on keeping him? I’m hoping they will be able to free range around my yard which is just over 2 acres. Coop is pretty close to house and have neighbors on both sides of me.

Umm first I would check in with the town if you can have a rooster and if not then I would find a rehome place or turn him in for dinner 😉
